Not a beginner book and it says so. Brooks assumes you want depth more than comfort: no indicators, no shortcuts, just price, bar by bar, read with a discipline most trading writing never attempts.

Reading Price Charts Bar by Bar

Thoughts
The densest book on the trading shelf, read at half a page a sitting. Brooks reads charts the way Adler reads books: nothing is decoration, every bar is an argument. It took two passes before I stopped fighting the vocabulary. Then the market started looking like sentences.
Learned
- Every bar is a vote record: who was in control, and at what price they gave up.
- Most setups are variations of two things: the market testing a price, or failing to.
- Always in: the market is never ambiguous if you commit to reading it. Only expensive.
