A whole book built on a two-word boundary. It repeats itself on purpose: the repetition is the delivery system, and by the time you notice you’re annoyed, you’re also using it.

The Let Them Theory

Thoughts
The simplest book on the shelf and the hardest to actually practise. Robbins takes one instruction, let them, and hammers it from enough angles that it eventually bypasses the part of you that wants to manage other people's behaviour. Pairs suspiciously well with the Adlerian book up the shelf: same courage, fewer footnotes.
Learned
- Let them: other people's behaviour is their side of the street. Your response is the whole of your job.
- Let me: the second half of the theory, and the half everyone forgets. You choose what you do next.
- Most stress is the voluntary management of things that were never yours to manage.
